Ten outstanding students from India and the Middle East have been awarded fully funded scholarships to pursue their senior secondary education at the Global Indian International School (GIIS) SMART Campus in Singapore.
The announcement was made during a grand felicitation ceremony held in Aerocity, Delhi, marking the 18th edition of GIIS’s flagship Global Citizen Scholarship (GCS) programme.
Launched in 2008, the GCS initiative aims to make world-class education accessible to high-achieving students from diverse backgrounds. Each scholar receives full coverage of tuition, boarding, lodging, and living expenses for Grades 11 and 12—amounting to an investment of ₹1 crore per student over two years. Scholars can choose between the CBSE and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) curricula offered at the Singapore campus.

“The Global Citizen Scholarship goes beyond financial aid—it’s about enabling students to become leaders and changemakers,” said Pramod Tripathi, Director, Academic, Global Schools Group. “We are proud to support young minds who think globally and act purposefully.”
One of the awardees, Nishtha Nirmita Mahanta from Moran Town, Assam, shared her gratitude: “This opportunity has changed the course of my life. It’s more than just access to world-class education—it’s about being part of a community that inspires you to dream big and lead with purpose.”
The event brought together students, parents, educators, and dignitaries in a celebration of potential and promise. It reinforced GIIS’s vision of nurturing global citizens and fostering academic excellence regardless of geographical or economic constraints.
“Each GCS recipient carries not just the dreams of their families but also the values of leadership, empathy, and excellence that define GIIS,” added Rajeev Koul, Deputy COO, Global Schools Group.
The Global Citizen Scholarship continues to be a beacon of opportunity for high-performing students across the world, empowering them to step into the future with confidence and purpose.
