Maharashtra Board Class 12 (HSC) exams will be held from February 10 to March 11, 2026; Class 10 (SSC) exams from February 20 to March 18, 2026.

Students appearing for the Maharashtra State Board Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) examinations in 2026 will have to obtain an APAAR ID, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has informed schools.

The requirement will apply to the Februaryโ€“March 2026 board examinations. Board officials said the absence of an APAAR ID could affect access to results and digital academic records.

What Is APAAR ID

APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) ID is a 12-digit unique academic identification number introduced under the National Education Policy. It is meant to act as a permanent academic reference for students, linking their school records, marksheets and certificates on a single digital platform.

How It Will Be Used in MSBSHSE Board Exams

As per officials, SSC and HSC results will be linked to DigiLocker through the APAAR ID, allowing students to download marksheets and certificates online. The system is expected to reduce paperwork and simplify document verification during college admissions and other academic processes.

Instructions to Schools and Colleges

The state board has directed schools and junior colleges to complete APAAR ID registration for all eligible students well before the exam cycle begins. Officials said early registration will help avoid issues during result declaration and certificate access.

The APAAR framework is being implemented across the country, with several crore students already registered.

A:

When appearing for the Maharashtra 10th board exams, you must feel relaxed and comfortable. Yes, you will be allowed to go to the washroom during the examination but only once and with an invigilator.
