CBSE 10th & 12th Exams 2026 Cancelled in Middle East

Amid ongoing tension in the Middle East due to US-Israel attack on Iran, many are worried if the CBSE 10th & 12th exams 2026 will be cancelled or postponed as the Board have many exam centres in the country. A viral notice has been circulating on social media claiming that the remaining exams have been cancelled in all examination centres of the Middle-East region. However, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) clarified that the circular is fake. Students or parents should not think of it to be true.

As of now, the Board has not released any further instructions for school students who are appearing for CBSE board exams 2026 from the Middle East region.

What does the CBSE Viral Notice say?

The viral notice reads, “In view of the extraordinary global circumstances and prevailing war conditions in certain countries, leading to significant disruption nd in the interest of the safety of our students, the Board has decided to implement certain measures in the exam centres in the Middle East."

"The remaining Language Papers for Class 10 and Class 12 have been cancelled in all examination centres in the Middle East region. This includes all language papers on February 28, 2026," it added.

The same instructions are also mentioned for the Social Science (SST) examination for Class 10 that is scheduled for March 7, 2026.

The fake circular also claimed that the marks for these cancelled papers will be awarded on a composite evaluation criteria including continuous comprehensive evaluation, periodic tests, pre-board examinations, and relevant internal assessment throughout the academic year.
