CBSE board exam 2026 class 10 and 12 has commenced from today, February 17, 2026. The CBSE 10th board exam 2026 will end on March 11, while the class 12 board exam will end on April 10, 2026. Students appearing for the exams can check the shift timing, exam day guidelines and details here.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced the annual Class 10 and 12 board exam 2026 from today, February 17, 2026. Reportedly, over 46 lakh students at around 8000 exam centres will be appearing for high school and intermediate examinations in the 2026 academic session. The CBSE 10th board exam 2026 will be conducted between February 17 to March 11, while the class 12 CBSE board exam 2026 will be conducted between February 17 to April 10, 2026.
CBSE Board Exam 2026: Shift Timings and Entry Rules
The CBSE class 10 and 12 board exam 2026 will be conducted in a single morning shift. All papers will begin at 10:30 AM and conclude at 1:30 PM. However, no student will be allowed to enter the exam hall after 10 AM. Each student will get a 15-minute reading period starting at 10:15 AM to review the CBSE 2026 question paper before writing begins.

CBSE 2026 Board Exam Begins Today: Key Exam Day Guidelines to follow
Students appearing in the CBSE board exam 2026 must take note of the following points a day before their exam day:
- Carry a physical copy of CBSE Admit Card signed by their School Principal
- No digital copy of hall ticket will be accepted
- Regular students must appear in full school uniform
- Permitted items in the exam hall include transparent stationery pouches, blue/royal blue ballpoint pens, and transparent water bottles.
- Strictly prohibited items include smartwatches, mobile phones, and calculators.
