Preethi Rajeev Nair, Principal, Lancers Army School said, "The Class 10 Mathematics Basic paper was overall easy to moderate in difficulty and largely student-friendly. The question paper was strictly based on NCERT. Short-answer questions were asked from Arithmetic Progressions, Linear Equations, Surface Areas & Volumes, and Statistics were manageable. The long-answer and case-study questions were practical. The Mathematics Standard paper was moderate in difficulty. 

Karan Pal, TGT Mathematics, Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow said, "The overall difficulty level of Mathematics (Standard) was moderate. It was a balanced paper. The paper was structured to test a mix of speed, accuracy, and analytical depth. The Mathematics (Basic) examination was designed to test foundational understanding rather than complex derivation."

Priyanshi Sharma said, "The overall difficulty level of the paper was easy. I had practised previous years' question papers and found the pattern to be similar like last year. The questions were asked based on the syllabus. The sets of Maths question paper were Set 1, 2, 3. Section B carried 2 mark questions, Section C carried 3 marks questions, section D carried 5 mark questions and section E carried 4 marks questions."

Kriisasian said, "The difficulty level of the paper was easy. There were five sections in the paper. Section A carried 20 MCQ questions. Section B carried reason based questions of two marks each. Section C carried short question of three marks. Section D carried 5 marks questions. Section E carried 4 marks questions. There was no change in the pattern."

CBSE Class 10th 2026 Maths paper was moderately difficult. It offered a fair balance between foundational concepts and critical thinking. Case study questions were direct. Questions in 5-mark sections were straightforward.

The overall difficulty level of CBSE Class 10 Maths paper was moderate. It got over at 1.30 pm.

With just few minutes left for the CBSE Class 10 Maths exam to get over, early reactions by experts suggest that the Basic Mathematics paper was moderately difficult.

CBSE 10th question paper structure has been revised. 50% questions will be competency-focused. 20% of questions in the paper are select response type questions. 30 per cent questions are constructed response questions.

Question papers will be handed to students 10:15 AM. Students will get 15 minutes to read the paper. The exam begins at 10:30 AM.

Students must reach the exam centre by 10 AM. They will be given entry to the examination hall 45 minutes before the exam.
