CBSE Class 10 Exam Analysis 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education successfully conducted the CBSE Class 10 Social Science board exam 2026 on March 7 across various exam centres in India. The SST exam was held in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The CBSE Class 10 Social Science question paper 2026 had a new sectional format with four sections, i.e. History, Civics, Political Science and Economics, all carrying equal weightage. The board has revised the SST question paper CBSE to improve clarity and evaluation standards. 

Soon after the exam concluded, students and experts shared their feedback regarding the CBSE class 10 Social Science paper difficulty level, question pattern and overall paper review. 

CBSE Class 10 SST Exam 2026: Overall Difficulty Level

The CBSE Class 10 Social Science Exam 2026 was conducted today, March 7, 2026. According to students and teachers, the SST question paper was overall moderate. Most questions were based on NCERT textbooks, while a few long-answer questions were a little lengthy. Meanwhile, the Economics section tested conceptual clarity for many students.

A total of 38 questions were asked in the examination with four sections, i.e.  A-History, B-Geography, C-Political Science, and D-Economics. An internal choice was provided in several questions. The section-wise difficulty level is provided below. 

  • History was overall moderate. Most questions were direct from the NCERT textbook. Source-based questions were straightforward.
  • Geography was moderate. Map-based questions were in the exam.
  • Political Science was easy. However, case-study-based questions challenged students’ understanding.
  • Economics was moderate but lengthy. Students found this part the toughest in today’s paper.
