CBSE Class 12 Maths Question Paper 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education Mathematics question paper for class 12th recently went viral online after a QR code printed on it allegedly redirected users to a popular music video. Some students on X claimed that when they scanned CBSE 12 Maths paper QR code, it opened 1987 song “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley.
The song is widely known for the internet prank called Rickrolling, where people are tricked into opening video instead of an important link. It must be noted that QR codes are usually printed on CBSE board exam question papers for verification or to provide exam-related information. CBSE Class 12 Maths exam was conducted on March 9 from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
CBSE has issued an official clarification stating that question paper is 'genuine and uncompromised.' The press release states, "In a few question paper sets, it appears that when one of the given QR codes is scanned, it links to a YouTube video. It appears that this has raised concerns about the veracity of the question papers amongst concerned students and their parents. It is hereby confirmed by the Board that the question papers are genuine. The security of the question papers remains uncompromised," it added.
