Delhi Nursery Admission 2026: Private schools in Delhi have released second merit list for nursery admissions 2026-27. Parents of all shortlisted children have to visit respective schools between February 10 and 16 to complete admission. As per merit list released for Delhi Nursery admission, many students have been placed in waiting list. 

Now, Delhi Nursery final merit list will be released on March 5. Earlier, over 1700 private schools in Delhi released their second admission merit lists along with waiting lists. Delhi nursery admission 2026 waiting list shows that many of them will be placed in the final merit list. Delhi Nursery admission will conclude on March 19, 2026. 

Delhi Schools Nursery Admission 2026

As per media updates, Sovereign School in Rohini shortlisted 409 students, while Gita Ratan School in selected 136 candidates. St George's School in Alaknanda confirmed 155 students, whereas Loreto Convent School in Delhi Cantonment shortlisted 11. Delhi Public School, East of Kailash, selected 14 students and placed 132 on waiting list, while Apeejay School in Saket confirmed 150 students and kept 176 on standby.

Delhi Nursery Admission 2026 Age Criteria

Directorate of Education (DoE) stated that foundational stage includes nursery and kindergarten (KG), followed by Class 1. For 2026-27 session, children must be at least three years old for nursery, four years for KG and five years for Class 1 as on March 31, 2026. Schools may grant age relaxation of up to one month at  discretion of head of institution. Admissions were done based on multiple parameters such as neighbourhood criteria, sibling priority and alumni status.
