Delhi Nursery Admissions: Directorate of Education will be releasing first list of shortlisted students for admission to Nursery, KG, and Class 1 today, January 23, 2026. Students will be allotted marks under a points system based on factors such as neighbourhood distance, sibling criteria, alumni status and other parameters shared by the Directorate of Education guidelines.  

Schools will display private Delhi schools first admission list along with points obtained by each of students. Once Delhi nursery admission first list is released, parents can raise objections regarding allocation of points between January 24 and February 3, 2026. As per media updates and officials over 1,741 schools will release admission list for around 1.25 lakh children. 

Delhi Nursery Admission to Conclude on March 19

As per schedule released, Delhi nursery second admission list will be released on February 9, 2026. Further, complete admission process will end on March 19, 2026. Parents of selected students have to deposit admission fee within the time period given by schools. Details related to fee structure can be checked on school’s official website. 

At time of admission, parents must submit child’s birth certificate. In case of first child, a notary-attested affidavit is also required. Proof of residence must be provided, which can include documents such as a voter ID card, Aadhaar card, passport, domicile certificate, ration card, electricity bill, MTNL bill or water bill.
