Nationwide Innovation Challenge Opens Registration Today, October 6, 2025; PM Modi to launch
The Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) and NITI Aayog, has officially launched the Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025, a nationwide initiative inviting schools and teachers to empower students from classes 6 to 12 to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills.
Announced today, the registration has begun inviting school students to participate, a tweet by Education Ministry reads: “Join the wave of young innovators shaping the future of India!" Ministry in its tweet has stated that the Buildathon is themed around #AtmanirbharBharat, #Swadeshi, #VocalForLocal, and #SamriddhBharat, which aims to position students as key drivers of India’s self-reliance and economic growth.
Education Ministry has highlighted that this event as "part of the biggest nationwide student innovation movement" and has encouraged participation with the slogan: "Spark ideas, Shape the future!"
Education Ministry has requested students to register at https://vbb.mic.gov.in. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate ‘Viksit Bharat Buildathon on October 13, 2025, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
