Initially slated for April 12, 2025, these Gujarat 9th, 11th Annual Examinations 2025 will now take place on April 21, 2025, to avoid a clash with the Gyansadhana Merit Scholarship Examination.

Gujarat 9th, 11th Annual Examinations 2025: In a recent announcement, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has rescheduled the Gujarat school-level annual examinations for Class 9 and Class 11 students. Initially slated for April 12, 2025, these exams will now take place on April 21, 2025, to avoid a clash with the Gyansadhana Merit Scholarship Examination.

Gujarat 9th, 11th Annual Exams 2025 Rescheduled to April 21

The Gujarat Class 9 and Class 11 annual exams, originally scheduled for April 12, 2025, have been pushed back to April 21. This change was made to prevent overlap with the Gyansadhana Merit Scholarship Exam, which is set to occur on the same day from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

The official notification stated, “As per the letter of the State Examination Board mentioned in reference (2), the Gyansadhana Merit Scholarship Examination is scheduled to be conducted on April 12, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm across all districts of the state. Considering the number of candidates and examination centres involved, a request has been made to reschedule the Class 9 and Class 11 annual school-level examinations scheduled for April 12, 2025.”

Gyansadhana Merit Scholarship Exam to Take Place on April 12

The Gyansadhana Merit Scholarship Examination is a key event for students in Gujarat, and it was scheduled for April 12, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Given the extensive number of candidates and exam centers across the state, GSEB decided to reschedule the school exams to avoid any conflicts for students who may be participating in both the scholarship exam and the annual school exams.

The rescheduling ensures that students can focus on one examination at a time, without the stress of overlapping schedules.

Changes in Exam Timetable for Gujarat Schools

According to the academic calendar issued by the state education department for the 2024-25 academic year, the Gujarat Class 9 and Class 11 annual exams were initially set to run from April 7 to April 19, 2025. However, in light of the Gyansadhana Scholarship Exam conflict, schools have been instructed to move the exam scheduled for April 12 to April 21.

Schools are responsible for preparing subject-specific timetables and question papers, either through their respective school development complexes or individually. The decision to announce a revised date for the affected exam ensures consistency across all secondary and higher secondary schools in Gujarat.

Why Rescheduling Gujarat Annual Exam 2025 Was Necessary

The GSEB’s decision to reschedule the exams aims to maintain fairness and prevent any logistical issues that might arise due to the clash between the Gyansadhana Merit Scholarship Exam and the school exams. The move is intended to give students a fair opportunity to participate in both important exams without undue stress or confusion.

The rescheduled exam date, April 21, 2025, will allow schools and students to prepare accordingly, ensuring a smooth examination process across the state.

Impact on Students and Schools

The rescheduling of the exam to April 21 ensures that both students and schools are given enough time to adjust to the revised timetable. While the change may cause some inconvenience, it is a necessary step to ensure that all students can sit for their exams and participate in the scholarship examination without conflicts.
