Following continuous heavy rainfall and in view of student safety, district administrations in Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida) have announced a one-day closure of all schools on Tuesday, September 3, 2025.
The orders, issued separately by the District Basic Education Officers of Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), apply to all schools affiliated with state, CBSE, ICSE, and other recognised boards, covering students from nursery to Class 12.
Official Orders
Gautam Buddh Nagar’s order stated that all government, aided, and private schools across the district will remain closed for students up to Class 12. However, teachers and staff in composite and higher primary schools have been instructed to remain present to carry out departmental work.
Similarly, in Ghaziabad, the circular noted that the decision was taken considering the ongoing heavy rains and safety concerns. The District Basic Education Officer directed all schools to suspend physical classes for one day on September 3.
