Mere Shahar Ke 100 Ratan scholarship is expected to attract the participation of over 6 lakh students. The state will be conducting the scholarship exam across 3,500+ examination centres, including over 2,800 government schools.
Himachal Pradesh Government has launched the state’s biggest scholarship examination, i.e., “Mere Shahar Ke 100 Ratan” in collaboration with Crack Academy, on May 20, 2025. The initiative aims to recognize academic excellence and support talented students from every constituency of the state, including those from remote and underserved regions.
The scholarship is expected to attract the participation of over 6 lakh students. The state will be conducting the scholarship exam across 3,500+ examination centres, including over 2,800 government schools. All Government Senior Secondary Schools, Government High Schools, and private affiliated schools will serve as exam centres, ensuring widespread accessibility for students in even the most remote parts of Himachal Pradesh.
6,800 Top Students to get Full Scholarships
Under this ambitious scholarship scheme:
- Top 100 students from each of the 68 constituencies will receive 100% coaching scholarships from Crack Academy.
- The next 200 students per constituency will receive a 75% fee concession.
- The following 500 students will get a 50% concession.
This brings the total number of full scholarships to 6,800, along with thousands of partial scholarships, making it one of the largest merit-based scholarship drives in the region.
The “Mere Shahar Ke 100 Ratna” programme was launched by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in March 2025. The minister emphasized on the government’s commitment to educational inclusion. He stated, “This programme will transform lives by helping academically gifted students access quality coaching, regardless of their socio-economic background.”
