HPBOSE has made PCP classes compulsory for HPSOS Class 8, 10 and 12 students for March 2026 exams. Classes will run from Jan 15 to Feb 28 under CCTV surveillance. As per the official notice, PCP classes will be conducted from January 15 to February 28, 2026, and all sessions must be held under strict CCTV surveillance.

HPBOSE has made PCP classes compulsory for HPSOS Class 8, 10 and 12 students for March 2026 exams. Classes will run from Jan 15 to Feb 28 under CCTV surveillance.

HPBOSE PCP Classes 2026: Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has asked schools, study centres to hold Personal Contact Programme classes compulsory for students of Classes 8, 10 and 12 enrolled under the Himachal Pradesh State Open School (HPSOS) for the March 2026 examination session.

As per the official notice, PCP classes will be conducted from January 15 to February 28, 2026, and all sessions must be held under strict CCTV surveillance. The Board has directed HPSOS study centres to ensure mandatory compliance without exception.

PCP only for Open School (HPSOS), Not Regular HPBOSE Students

The instructions are applicable to HPSOS (Open School) candidates. Regular HPBOSE school students are not covered under this notification, as PCP classes are part of the Open School academic structure.

PCP Classes Compulsory for These Candidates

According to HPBOSE, PCP classes are mandatory for:

  • HPSOS Class 8, 10 and 12 candidates
  • Fresh candidates
  • Additional (Addl) subject candidates
  • Class 12 Direct Science candidates (compulsory)

The Board in its notice has stated that PCP classes are important to provide systematic instruction, concept clarity and academic engagement to Open School learners.

Who Is Not Eligible for PCP Classes

HPBOSE has clarified that following candidates are not eligible to attend PCP classes:

  • Reappear candidates
  • Improvement candidates
  • Special Marks Improvement candidates

Minimum 25 Students to Conduct PCP Classes

Board in its notice has clarified that to organise PCP classes an HPSOS study centre must have at least 25 fresh candidates. If a centre has fewer than 25 students, it must collaborate with nearest HPSOS study centre

Special Provision for Remote and Inaccessible Areas

In cases where study centres are located in remote or geographically inaccessible areas and have fewer than 25 students, PCP classes may be conducted at the same centre.

PCP Completion Certificate Mandatory

HPBOSE has made it compulsory to upload a certificate confirming successful completion of PCP classes under HPSOS. Study centres will have to ensure that all eligible candidates complete PCP classes and that certificates are uploaded within the stipulated timeline.
