The HPE CodeWars 2025 saw more than 23,000 code submissions, which were evaluated in real-time during an intense 3-hour coding challenge. With peak concurrent evaluations surpassing 700, the competition turned into a thrilling experience for the participants. Students from across India— including cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai—joined the event.

Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE), in partnership with Codingal, has concluded the fifth edition of HPE CodeWars, India's biggest coding competition for students in grades 8–12. The 2025 event set new records, reaffirming its position as the largest school-level coding competition in the country. This year's edition attracted an unprecedented number of participants, showcasing the growing enthusiasm for coding and problem-solving among India's young minds.

A Global Event with Unmatched Participation

The HPE CodeWars 2025 saw more than 23,000 code submissions, which were evaluated in real-time during an intense 3-hour coding challenge. With peak concurrent evaluations surpassing 700, the competition turned into a thrilling experience for the participants. Students from across India— including cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai—joined the event. Additionally, over 100 countries, including the UK, Kenya, Mauritius, Nepal, Nigeria, Singapore, and the UAE, participated, highlighting the event's expanding international presence and appeal.

Recognizing Exceptional Young Coders

The competition spotlighted young coders who demonstrated exceptional problem-solving abilities and coding skills. The winners received top-notch prizes for their outstanding performance:

  • Champion: Purbayon Sarkar (Grade 12), South Point High School, Kolkata – Awarded an HP Victus Gaming Laptop.
  • First Runner-Up: Jayden Jeswin Raj (Grade 12), Vels Vidyashram, Chennai – Received an HP Chromebook.
  • Second Runner-Up: Samik Goyal (Grade 10), DAV Public School, Patiala – Honored with an HP Series 5 FHD Monitor.

In addition to the top three, the top 10 performers were awarded mechanical gaming keyboards and mice, recognizing their excellence and dedication.

On the competition's success, Vivek Prakash, Co-founder of Codingal, emphasized the importance of such events in shaping the future of technology.
