Jharkhand government has announced that it will award the top three rank holders of JAC 10th, 12th board exams 2023 with a cash prize of up to Rs 3 lakh, a laptop and a mobile phone. JAC 10th exams will get over on April 3 while the last exam for JAC 12th will be conducted on April 5.
JAC Board Exams 2023: The Jharkhand government has announced that it will award the top three rank holders of JAC 10th, 12th Board exams 2023 with cash rewards of up to INR 3 lakh, a laptop and a mobile phone.
The state government introduced the reward scheme to encourage meritorious students for pursuing higher studies, informed state Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
“Even if a student from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh or any part of the country tops from any Jharkhand school, he/she will be rewarded by the state government,” said the chief minister in a prize distribution event.
As many as 68 rank holders of exams conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), besides toppers of Jharkhand Olympiad were rewarded on the occasion.

A sum of INR 1.32 crore, laptops and mobile phones will be distributed among them.
Those who rank first in the board examinations of Class 10 and Class 12 will be given Rs 3 lakh, those who stood second in the tests will be given Rs 2 lakh and those who secure the third rank will get Rs 1 lakh.
“The government wants to lessen the initial financial burden of the families of meritorious students. Thus, we have rolled out the scheme,” he added.
Currently, the JAC 10th, 12th exams 2023 are ongoing in pen-and-paper mode. JAC 10th exams will get over on April 3 while the last exam for JAC 12th will be conducted on April 5.
