JAC Class 9 Registration 2026 deadline ends today, January 12. Jharkhand Academic Council confirms no further extension; late fee applicable from January 13.
Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has issued a circular stating that January 12, 2026 is last date for Class 9 registration for 2026 academic session and no more extension will be granted. Schools have been asked to complete registration and approval process within given timeline to avoid penalties.
No Extension Beyond January 12
According to council notice, all Class 9 registration forms should be submitted and approved by District Education Officer (DEO) by January 12 without any late fee. JAC in its notice has categorically stated that registration window will not be reopened beyond this date, citing upcoming board examination schedule.
Late Fee Applicable From January 13
Registrations approved from January 13 onwards will attract a late fee. Council has warned schools against delays, emphasizing that last-minute submissions may lead to financial and administrative complications.
Holiday Concerns and Official Instructions
In view of Sohrai, a government holiday observed in parts of Jharkhand, concerns have been raised about DEO office closures on last date. Addressing this, JAC has instructed district education officials to ensure that approvals are processed on time so that schools and students are not burdened with late fees.
Council has reiterated that no special relaxation or extension will be provided under any circumstances.
