What is AEEE?

Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering (AEEE) is the entrance examination conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for admission to its BTech programmes. The examination is conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The exam will be held in two phases, and candidates can appear in one or both phases, with the best performance considered for ranking.

AEEE tests candidates in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Quantitative Aptitude. The existing pattern has 100 questions to be attempted in 150 minutes. The final AEEE 2027 exam pattern will be confirmed by Amrita in its official admission information.

Who is Eligible to Apply for AEEE 2027?

Candidates who have passed or are appearing for Class 12 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects can apply, subject to the final AEEE 2027 eligibility criteria. The exact eligibility criteria for AEEE 2027 will be available in the official information brochure.

Amrita BTech Admission Process 2027

Amrita BTech admission is based on the candidate's AEEE rank or JEE Main percentile. Students can seek admission through AEEE or apply using their JEE Main score or via both.

As per the admission structure, 70% of BTech seats are filled through AEEE, while 30% of seats are filled through JEE Main. After the entrance examination and result declaration, eligible candidates have to participate in the Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP). During CSAP, candidates can provide their preferred campuses and BTech programmes. Seat allotment is based on the applicable rank/percentile, eligibility, candidate preferences and seat availability.
