Jharkhand Academic Council has started the JAC board exam 2026 for class 10 and 12 from today, February 3, 2026. The Jharkhand board class 10 exam 2026 will be held from 9:45 am to 1 pm on each exam day. On the other hand, Jharkhand board 12th exams 2026 will be conducted from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The council has started the JAC 2026 board exam under strict security measures.Â
As per several media reports, the board has made necessary arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination. In order to ensure free and fair examinations, CCTV cameras have been installed at all examination centres. The invigilators have been prohibited from carrying mobile phones during the examinations.Â
JAC Board Exam 2026: Over 7 Lakh Candidates AppearingÂ
As per the reports, nearly 7.5 lakh students are appearing for the JAC Board exam 2026. The Matric (Class 10) students' strength is 4,23,821 students appearing at 1,232 different centres until February 17. Meanwhile, 3,24,321 students are appearing for Intermediate (Class 12) exams, which wrap up on February 23 across 757 centres. Within the class 12 level, the majority of students are enrolled in Arts (2,12,557), followed by Science (90,579) and Commerce (21,195).
JAC Board Exam 2026: Exam Day GuidelinesÂ
Class 10 and 12 board exam students appearing for the Jharkhand Board exam 2026 must follow the exam day instructions below:Â
1. Carry the JAC admit card 2026 to the exam centres in a physical copy.
2. Students are required to carry a school ID card to the exam centre.Â
3. Students must reach the JAC exam centre 2026 at least 45 minutes before the exam starts.Â
4. The students must bring their own stationery and a transparent water bottle to the exam centre.Â
5. All electronic gadgets, including mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators, are strictly prohibited in the exam centre.Â

Yes, going to washroom during the class 10 board exams in India is allowed. When appearing for the any class 10 board exams, you must feel relaxed, confident and comfortable. So yes, students are allowed to use washroom even during the class 10 board exams. However, an invigilator can take you to the washroom because many students often use washroom for using unfair means and cheat in board exam.
Students must note that the invigilator can frisk them anytime during the exam duration if they found using unfair means for cheating inside the washroom. So, it is recommended to use washroom only when needed.
