Jharkhand Merit Scholarship Scheme: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi, has announced the opening of the application process for the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship Scheme (CMMSS) for the year 2025. Students who have qualified in the 2022, 2023, and 2024 scholarship examinations are invited to submit their applications through the prescribed format available on the official JAC website, jac.jharkhand.gov.in.
Registration Portal Opens Tomorrow
The registration portal for the Chief Minister Merit Scholarship 2025 will be open starting March 11, 2025. Eligible students must submit their application forms to their school authorities by April 11, 2025. After verification, schools are required to forward the applications to the District Education Officer (DEO) by April 15, 2025. The DEO will then submit the consolidated list to the JAC by April 21, 2025.
Application Form and Required Details
In the application form, students must provide the following information:
- Personal Details: Name, roll number, and other essential information.
- Examination Details: Exam date, roll number, and examination center.
- School Information: School name, address, UDISE code, and bank account details (including bank name, branch, account number, and IFSC code).
- Accommodation and Meals Information: Students must mention whether their school provides government-sponsored accommodation and meals.
JAC Merit Scholarship Scheme: Eligibility and Required Documents
Students who have passed the Jharkhand CMMSS examination must apply based on their renewal cycle:
- First-time Applicants (Class 9 Students): Students who qualified the scholarship exam conducted on June 30, 2024, must submit their application with an admit card, Aadhaar card, and bank passbook.
- Second Renewal (Class 10 Students): Students who qualified the scholarship exam on August 13, 2023, must submit the above documents along with their Class 9 mark sheet.
- Third Renewal (Class 11 Students): Students who qualified the scholarship exam on July 13, 2022, must submit the required documents along with their Class 10 mark sheet.
- Caste Certificate: Students selected under the caste-based category must provide a valid caste certificate issued by the Jharkhand government.
Scholarship Renewal Criteria and Payment Details
To continue receiving the scholarship, students must secure at least 60% marks in their final examinations. Students studying in residential schools (where accommodation and meals are provided by the government) will receive 50% of the scholarship amount.
The scholarship amount will be credited directly to the previously registered bank account, and requests for changes in bank account details will not be entertained. As mentioned in the official notice, “The upcoming scholarship amount will be disbursed to the previously provided bank account only, and no changes will be accepted.”
Aakanksha Scheme Report
A separate consolidated report of students selected under the Aakanksha scheme will be prepared and submitted to the council office as part of the scholarship process.
Students are urged to ensure timely submission of their applications and documents to ensure their eligibility for the CM Merit Scholarship 2025.
