Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education has released notice regarding change in conduct of JK Board 11th external practical exams. Due to severe cold weather and sub-zero temperatures across the region, Board has informed all stakeholders, especially JKBOSE class 11th students appearing in Annual/Regular (Oct-Nov) session 2025 for Winter Zone of Jammu and Kashmir Division about new arrangements for their practical exams.
To protect students from this winter conditions, JKBOSE has decided that all external practical exams for class 11th will now be conducted in students’ own affiliated schools whether Government or Private. This means students will not need to travel to other centres. However, this facility will only be available to schools that have at least 25 students in a subject.
JKBOSE Practical Exams Shifted to Home Schools
Students of JKBOSE class 11th must note that due to severe cold, JK Board practical exams for Oct-Nov session will be held at their respective schools. Schools that do not meet requirements may still have to follow earlier JKBOSE 11th practical exam arrangements as per Board’s guidelines. This decision has been taken for students to reduce weather-related hardships and ensure full attendance.
External Examiners to Be Appointed
Even though JK Board class 11th practical exams will be conducted in home schools, the examiners will still be appointed externally. Respective schools must note that they are not allowed to appoint their own internal examiners for external practicals exams of JK Board class 11th.
