Karnataka SSLC Board Exam 2026: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board will begin Karnataka SSLC (class 10) board exams 2026 from March 18, 2026. Thousands of students across the state will appear Karnataka SSLC First Language on day 1. Students appearing for KSEAB 10th board exam should check exam timings, dress code and important guidelines to avoid any problems at exam centre.

As per Karnataka SSLC time table 2026 released earlier, class 10th exam will be held till April 2. SSLC paper will be conducted from 10:15 AM to 1:30 PM, totalling 3 hours and 15 minutes. Students must note that 15 minutes are allocated for reading Karnataka SSLC question paper, which will distributed at 10:00 AM.Β

Karnataka SSLC Exam 2026 Timings

Karnatak SSLC exam papers will be held inΒ  morning session.

  • Reading Time: 15 minutes
  • Exam Time: 10:15 AM to 1:30 PM

Reporting Time: Students are advised to reach the SSLC exam centre between 9:45 and 10:00 AM to complete verification and seating procedures. They should use the first 15 minutes to read SSLC question paper, as writing during this time is not allowed.

Karnataka SSLC 2026 Dress Code

Students asking is it compulsory to wear school uniform in board exams 10th must know and follow official dress code guidelines while appearing.

  • Wearing school uniform is mandatory for all students appearing for SSLC exam.
  • Students should wear simple and proper uniform that allows easy identification at exam centre..

Documents and Items to Carry at Karnataka SSLC 2026 Exam Centre

Students should carry these to Karnataka 10th exam centre

  • SSLC Hall TicketΒ 
  • Blue or black ballpoint pens
  • Geometry box (for Mathematics or relevant subjects)
  • Transparent water bottle
  • Any additional stationery required for the exam

Without the hall ticket, students may not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Items Not Allowed in Karnataka SSLC Exam Hall

The board has also strictly prohibited these items inside exam centre. Students must not carry:

  • Mobile phones
  • Smart watches
  • Bluetooth devices or earphones
  • Calculators (unless specifically allowed)
  • Written notes or chits
  • Any electronic gadgets.

Important Instructions for Students Appearing for SSLC Board Exam 2026

Students appearing for board exam should keep these important instructions in mind:

  • Reach exam centre at least 30 minutes early.
  • Sit only in the seat assigned by the invigilator.
  • Carefully write registration/roll number and subject code on answer sheet.
  • Maintain silence and discipline inside exam hall.
  • Follow all instructions given by invigilators and exam authorities.
  • Students should also check all details on their hall ticket in advance to avoid last-minute confusion.
