Maharashtra Board Exam 2026: Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) is conducting the HSC exams for the academic session 2026. Reportedly, alleged mass copying in the Maharashtra HSC exam 2026 was registered on the first day, i.e. February 10. As per the reports, five teachers have been suspended after they were allegedly caught helping HSC (Class 12) students at a centre in Maharashtra’s Beed district. Further, 12 faculty members are under scrutiny under mass copying situation during the board examination.Â
Maharashtra Board HSC Exam 2026 Cheating: What's the Case?
On the first day of Maharashtra HSC board exam 2026, authorities used drone cameras to check an exam centre in Chousala, Maharashtra. The footage revealed massive copying happening in 16 different exam halls. Shockingly, the exam supervisors were caught helping the students cheat instead of stopping them. As a result, 5 teachers were suspended, and 12 were under the scruitnty. Further, police cases were filed against those involved.
After the teachers were caught, the police filed a case against 17 teachers, including the person in charge of the exam centre. As of now, five teachers from one school have been suspended, while 12 others from three different schools are being investigated.

Maharashtra HSC exams are held in two shifts. The Morning Shift is conducted from 11 am to 2.10 pm. The evening shift is held from 3 pm to 6 .10 pm. Students need to reach the exam centre on time.
The board officials conduct HSC exam in two shifts : morning shift from 11am to 2.10 pm and evening shift from 3pm to 6.10pm. The timings for all streams : Science, Commerce, Arts and general remains the same. All the students appearing for their board examination should reach their respective centers well before time to avoid unnecessary chaos.
