Maharashtra Board Extended Deadline for SSC Students

Maharashtra SSC Board Exam 2026: Maharashtra Board has extended deadline for submitting proposals related to classical art, painting and folk art for students appearing in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Exam scheduled for February and March 2026. Earlier, students had to submit their proposals to their respective schools by December 15, 2025, and schools were to forward these proposals to the Divisional Boards by January 15, 2026. However, Maharashtra State Board of Art Education, Mumbai has announced that results of Government Drawing Examination (Elementary and Intermediate Grade) 2025 will be declared only in last week of January 2026.

Due to this delay, and following a proposal submitted to government, approval has been granted to extend deadline. Schools can now submit proposals to concerned Divisional Boards up to February 18, 2026. All Divisional Boards have been directed to take necessary action and inform all secondary schools under their jurisdiction about the revised deadline. They have also been asked to give wide publicity to ensure that no eligible student is deprived of the benefit of concessional marks.
