Maharashtra Class 12 Board Exam 2026: Maharashtra HSC Chemistry paper leak allegations reported on February 26 have led to an investigation in Umred, Nagpur district. As per media reports, officials said inquiry is focusing on a local coaching institute after information suggested a possible connection with a practice test conducted before Maharashtra HSC board exam 2026. According to police officials, director of Target Academy Science and a resident of Bhandarkar Layout in Umred, is being questioned as part of ongoing probe.

Inquiry Initiated After Information Received Regarding HSC Chemistry Paper Leak

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education began an inquiry after receiving information that this issue might have links to Umred.  During review, officials found that Target Academy Science had conducted a chemistry practice test a few days before the board exams. It was observed that some questions in the practice test appeared similar to those in the actual exam paper. 

Authorities are now investigating how these similarities occurred and whether there was any connection with Maharashtra board exam question paper. Based on a complaint, a case has been registered at Umred Police Station under the Prevention of Malpractices in Examinations Act. Police officials stated that the investigation is ongoing and further details will be known after the inquiry progresses.

Five-Member SIT Formed to Probe Maharashtra Class 12 Chemistry Paper Leak

To carry out a detailed investigation, the police have formed a five-member Special Investigation Team (SIT). The team will be led by Additional Superintendent of Police. As reported by media, Superintendent of Police said the SIT will examine all aspects of the matter to understand the sequence of events and identify the source of the similarities between the practice test and the board exam paper.

Maharashtra HSC Board Exam 2026 

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is conducting HSC exams 2026 from February 10 to March 11, 2026, in two shifts. The first shift is being held from 11 am to 2 pm, while the second shift is being conducted from 3 to 6 pm. Maharashtra class 10 board exam 2026 commenced on February 20 and will conclude on March 18, 2026. The exams is being held in both morning and afternoon sessions, with most papers scheduled between 11 am and 2 pm or 11 am and 1 pm.
