NIOS Class 10 Admission 2025: The Directorate of Education (DoE) has officially released a detailed guideline for the registration of students from Delhi government schools seeking Class 10 admission through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) for the 2025-26 academic session. The initiative is part of a broader campaign to curb school dropouts and offer a flexible pathway for students who have repeatedly failed in traditional academic settings.
According to the official DoE circular, the NIOS Class 10 admission scheme is targeted at students who have been declared ‘fail’ or placed in ‘compartment’ in Class 9 or 10 at least twice up to the 2024-25 session. These students must possess valid School Leaving Certificates (SLCs) from their respective government schools to be eligible.
Students who failed or were placed in a compartment for the first time in 2024-25 are not eligible under this initiative and are advised to continue their education within the formal school system.
How to Apply for NIOS Class 10 Admission 2025-26
School heads have been directed to proactively identify and enroll eligible students and update all necessary information on the DoE’s MIS module before registration. The last date for online application and fee submission is July 31, 2025.
