NIOS official notice also mentions that it will levy a consolidated late fee of ₹1,600 after 31 December for student who will miss current deadline.
National Institute of Open Schooling has opened late fee window for students who have not yet submitted their examination fees for April 2026 session.
The late fee window, which began on 21 November will remain available until 31 December 2025. Students submitting their forms during this period will have to pay an additional ₹150 along with the regular examination fee.
CSC has advised Virtual learners to complete pending submissions as early as possible to avoid last-day rush and payment issues which are common before deadlines.
Official notice also mentions that NIOS will levy a consolidated late fee of ₹1,600 after 31 December for any student who misses present deadline. This higher charge will apply uniformly to all candidates who try to submit their exam fees in January, making ongoing window the last opportunity to pay a minimal late fee.
VLEs and candidates who face difficulties with the portal or payment process have been asked to contact the NIOS support team through helpdesk@csc.gov.in or the helpline 14599.
