RBSE Promotion Policy: Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Ajmer has tweeted that it has discontinued automatic promotion policy for RBSE class 5 and 8 students. Under revised policy, Rajasthan Board class 5th and 8th students will now be required to obtain minimum qualifying marks to be promoted to next class. Those who fail to meet specified criteria will be declared failed.
According to officials, this decision has been taken to address concerns over declining academic standards and to ensure that students develop a strong foundational understanding before moving to higher classes. Rajasthan Education Department noted that automatic promotions had reduced seriousness towards studies and created learning gaps that affect students’ performance.
