UP Board Class 12 Exam Pattern 2027 Changed: Questions From Every Unit Now Mandatory

UP Board Class 12 Exam Pattern 2027 Changed

UP Board Class 12 Exam Pattern 2027: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has made important changes in the UP Board Class 12 board exam pattern 2027. The board is following suggestions from the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023 and PARAKH and has made some historic changes in the UPMSP Board 12th exam pattern. According to the new changes, the questions from each unit will be asked in the final exams. 

As per the latest change in the pattern, non-practical subjects like Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Economics and History will now have an 80-mark written exam. Earlier, it was a 100-mark written exam. The remaining 20 marks will be distributed through internal assessment. 

UP Board Class 12th Exam Pattern 2027: What Has Changed?

As per the most notable change made in the exam pattern, the students will now be asked questions from each unit in the final exams. This means skipping any unit while preparing for the final exam can directly affect the result. Here is the list of key changes made in the exam pattern:

• Questions will be asked from every unit in all subjects; students will be required to prepare all chapters.

• The written exams in a few subjects will now carry 80 marks, while 20 marks will be distributed based on practical or internal assessment.

• UPMSP will soon release the final exam pattern for UP Board 12th exams. Students are also suggested to check the UP Board 12th model papers.

UP Board Intermediate Exam Pattern 2027: What Has Not Changed?

While the board has made key changes in the UPMSP Intermediate exam pattern, the basic examination system remains the same as earlier. Students will face different types of questions, including objective and descriptive questions, depending on the subject. Here are some points to remember:

• Students should prepare for both objective and descriptive type questions.

• Students are recommended to solve previous years UP Board 12th question papers and UPMSP Inter model papers as it will help them know the type of questions that may be asked in the final examination.

UP Board 12th Exams 2027: How to prepare?

Students are suggested to complete all the units rather than focusing on important chapters only. They should make an habit to prepare short notes, revise difficult topics and solve official UP 12th model question papers and previous years' question papers.
