The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has directed the official bodies not to file criminal charges against students caught using unfair means. The preparation forΒ UP Board exam 2026Β is ongoing by the board in order to conduct β€œcopy-free" exams under theΒ Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act. The Board emphasised that students will not be punished under the Act’s harshest punitive measures.Β 

The board has announced that disciplinary and criminal provisions do not apply to students appearing inΒ UP Board exam 2026 class 10 and 12.Β This exemption aims to protect the future of the students, ensuring a single misstep does not result in a permanent criminal record.

The first phase of UP 12th practical exams was conducted in the first week of February 2026 and the second phase from the second week of February 2026.

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) will conduct the High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) board examinations from February 18 to March 12, 2026. The exams will be conducted in two shifts each day: a morning shift from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM and an afternoon shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
