UP Schools Closed Till Jan 20 Due To Magh Mela; Details Here

Due to ongoing Magh Mela, the UP schools including government, private and government aided will be closed until January 20, 2026. Read here to know more.

UP Schools Closed: The District administrations has announced to close all government, private and government aided schools till January 20, 2026, due to ongoing Magh Mela which is expected to see an increase of devotees flooding. The crowd leads to traffic congestion and inconvenience across city, school bus also face difficulty due to high traffic.
The students studies will not be affected as online classes will continue. The desicision has been taken considering both Makar Sankranti and Mauni Amavasya, the major bathing sessions.
District Basic Education Officer, Anil Kumar has announced that there will be huge crowd in pilgrims during Makar Sankranti and Mauni Amavasya which will increase traffic in the city. The online classes timing will depend on schools. Students are advised to check school notifications for their online classes schedule to not miss anything on syllabus.

UP Board: Latest Updates

The UP Board high school and Intermediate exams 2026 are between February 18 and March 12, 2026 at around 7,448 exam centers. The Board released the FINAL UPMSP Board Exam Center List 2026 on December 29, 2025 for Class 10 and Class 12. The exams for Class 10 and Class 12 will be held at 8033 UP Board exam centers 2026 across the state.
