WBCHSE Class 11 Supplementary Exams 2026: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has issued an important notice for all schools regarding West Bengal class 11th supplementary exam for all students. The council has introduced new provisions under amended Higher Secondary Examination Regulations 2024.
According to the new amendment notified on February 24, 2026, students who fail in any subject of semester II will now get an opportunity to clear those subjects through a WBCHSEÂ supplementary examination. It must be noted that West Bengal class 11th supplementary exam will be conducted by the respective schools themselves.
Schools to Conduct WB Class 11th Supplementary Exams
All schools under have been instructed to conduct class 11 Semester II supplementary exam every year as per the new regulations. For 2025-26 academic year, schools must complete the supplementary exam by April 11, 2026. They must also upload class 11th students’ marks online by April 16, 2026, through the official WBCHSE portal. The marks to be submitted will include:
- Semester I marks
- Semester II marks
- Supplementary exam marks (if applicable)
- Practical marks
- Project marks
West Bengal Uccha Madhyamik Session to Start in April
The council has also directed schools to begin WB class 12th (Semester III) classes for 2026-27 academic session by the fourth week of April 2026 for students promoted from class 11. Schools have been asked to follow new instructions carefully to ensure smooth academic and exam processes.
