The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad) conducted the first cluster of its summer placement process for the PGP Class of 2028 on October 23, 2026. The opening placement cluster featured over 85 roles spanning diverse sectors, marking the beginning of the summer recruitment season for the incoming management batch.

Recruiters and Sectors Represented in Cluster 1

The IIM Ahmedabad summer placement process was conducted in a hybrid format, accommodating both online and in-person recruiter participation across six distinct cohorts. These cohorts included management consulting, advisory consulting, transformation and operations consulting, investment banking and markets, cards and financial advisory, and private equity, venture capital, asset management, and hedge funds.

Some of the top management and strategy consulting firms participating in the IIM Ahmedabad placement recruiters network included McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain & Company, Accenture Strategy, EY-Parthenon, Kearney, Oliver Wyman, and L.E.K. Consulting. The financial sector saw active recruitment from leading global investment banks and financial institutions, such as Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Barclays, Citibank, HSBC, and Standard Chartered Bank. Additionally, private equity and investment management firms like Blackstone, Ares Management, Gaja Capital, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, and Aquilon Capital took part in the IIM Ahmedabad Cluster 1 placements.

International Opportunities and Upcoming Placement Schedule

The IIM Ahmedabad PGP Summer Placements 2028 also offered several international opportunities, with specific roles confirmed in global financial hubs. These included international positions associated with EY-Parthenon in Singapore, as well as Goldman Sachs and HSBC in Hong Kong.

After the successful conclusion of the opening round, the institute has scheduled the subsequent stages of the IIM Ahmedabad summer placement process.
