Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has started new online programmes. The university has introduced its first online degree programs, that has strated with online BBA and BCom courses. The registration process for these courses is currently open. The first batch of classes will start on September 15, 2026. IP University has launched the official admission brochures on August 24 for all eligible students seeking education through distance. This launch event was conducted at the Dwarka campus. The Centre for Distance and Online Education will manage these programs on behalf of GGSIPU. Students across India can apply for IPU online courses and complete their degree through distance learning.
IP University Online Course Fees and NEP Flexibility
IP University has made these online courses highly affordable for all students. The fee is INR 15,000 per semester for both courses, i.e. BBA and BCom courses. Both undergraduate programs follow the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines. This means students get a flexible entry and exit system.
Students can exit the course early with a certificate. They can also return later to complete their full degree. This process provides freedom to working professionals. It also helps students who face sudden financial issues.
Meanwhile, Vice-Chancellor Mahesh Verma shared his vision during the launch, stating that this is IPU's big step into digital learning. The university wants to reach students outside Delhi. IP University plans to introduce more online courses very soon. The upcoming options include a Master of Computer Applications (MCA). They will also launch an MA in Mass Communication. A postgraduate diploma in Healthcare Management is also under consideration.
