The inmates of all the hostels of Umay campus of Lucknow University are informed that coming out of the hostel after 10.00 pm is completely prohibited. If any student violates this rule, strict disciplinary action will be taken against that student as per university rules.
Lucknow University has announced that students will not be allowed to move in and out of the hostel after 10 pm. The move comes after the varsity witnessed a shuffle between the students and police on Friday night. Later, the varsity released a letter announcing the restrictions.Â
As per reports, a scuffle broke out between the university students and police and came face to face till late night around 2 when the students were seen roaming outside of the hostel late night. When students were caught roaming, in the heat of the moment, students got into an argument with the police.
As per Time Now report, the students were allegedly beaten up and three students were injured too. Due to this, the Lucknow University administration has taken a decision of not to allow the students to exit or enter the campus after 10 pm
The notice reads, “The inmates of all the hostels of Umay campus of Lucknow University are informed that coming out of the hostel after 10.00 pm is completely prohibited. If any student violates this rule, strict disciplinary action will be taken against that student as per university rules.”
Further the notice has forwarded the copy to the Dean Student Welfare, Chief Warden, Registrar, Custodian of the Lucknow University by the Chancellor. "Any student who violates the rule, strict action would be taken against that particular student," the notice added.Â
