Mangalore University forms a task force for successful implementation of NEP 2020.

Mangalore University has created a task force of its Syndicate to implement the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 successfully. Nine sub-committees under this task force will go into various aspects of the NEP 2020. The task force has to give time-bound suggestions on specific thrust areas under the NEP given to them. This has been done in line with the Karnataka State Higher Education Council to be the first state in India to roll out NEP.

P S Yadapadithaya, Vice-Chancellor, Mangalore University said that the Minister of Higher Education, C N Ashwath Narayan, is keen to make the state as one of the first ones to implement NEP, keeping that in mind this task force has been made to get off the blocks. The varsity needs to be in sync with the government’s and minister’s vision and the task force that will aid these concerted efforts, he said.

They have to come up with the weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and their entire functioning will be time-bound and target-oriented, the Vice-Chancellor explained.
