Mangalore University is commonly known as MU. It is a public university situated in Konaje, Mangaluru, Karnataka, India. The National Assessment and Accreditation Counsel (NAAC) awarded Mangalore University an 'A' grade in 2021.

Mangalore University offers courses such as BSc in various specialisations for the duration of 3 years to 4 years in full-time mode. Admissions to the respective courses is offered on the basis of merit and requires for candidates to secure a minimum aggregate of 35% in Class 12 with valid scores in CBSE 12, Karnataka 2 PUC, ISC, KCET, UK 12. The university offers admission to BSc with an annual intake of 5400+ students.
Mangalore University offers courses at the UG, PG, PhD, PG Diploma, and Certificate levels. Admission to majority of courses is offered on the basis of Karnataka PGCET and KCET. Primarily, Mangalore University offers courses such as BPEd and MBA on the basis of valid scores of KCET. The university offers the respective courses on the basis of 45% aggregate in Class 12 with Physics and Maths as compulsory subject. The university considers KCET scores for final admission.
