COVID-19 Impact: Schools in Uttar Pradesh to remain closed until May 15
The decision was announced following a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Meanwhile, the state has also imposed a night curfew from 8 pm till 7 in 10 districts with more than 2,000 active coronavirus cases.
In view of rising COVID-19 cases, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced that all schools in the state will remain closed until May 15. Along with this, the UP Board exams 2021 have also been postponed for UP Board Class 10 examinations and UP Board Class 12 examinations till May 20. It must be noted that this is the second time that the UP Board Exams 2021 has been postponed. A decision to conduct the exam will now be taken in the first or the second week of May considering the situation of COVID at that time. The Uttar Pradesh Board exams were scheduled to start on May 8.
"Schools up to Class 12 are being closed till May 15 and no examinations will also be held during this period. Also, UP board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 have been postponed till May 20," the official said.

Along with Uttar Pradesh, many other states have imposed night curfews and have shut down the schools and educational institutions owing to a spike in coronavirus cases.
CBSE has also decided to postpone the CBSE 12th Exams 2021 and has cancelled the CBSE 10th Exams 2021 considering the COVID-19 situation in the country and to avoid any further spread.
