In a significant move for design aspirants, two prominent design institutes have announced that they will allot a limited number of seats in their undergraduate Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes through UCEED for the 2025-2026 academic year. The University School of Design & Innovation, GGSIPU, New Delhi, and Ajeenkya D Y Patil University School of Design, Pune, have both confirmed that admissions via UCEED scores will be accepted.
1. University School of Design & Innovation, GGSIPU, New Delhi to Offer B.Des Admissions Through UCEED 2025
The University School of Design & Innovation, GGSIPU, New Delhi, has announced that it will allot a limited number of seats in its undergraduate Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme through UCEED for the 2025-2026 academic year. However, the institute will not participate in the Joint Admission Process conducted by IIT Bombay.

Admission to the B. Des programme at UCEED 2026 participating colleges will be on the basis of UCEED 2026 merit rank. So, candidates with a higher rank will get preference in the seat allotment process. The admission committee will also consider the college option opted by the candidate and their order of priority. Note that to get a merit rank in UCEED 2026, candidates must have qualified Part A. In case the candidate fails to qualify Part A, his or her Part B answer booklet will not be evaluated.
Ajeenkya D Y Patil University School of Design, Pune, has also confirmed that it will reserve seats in its undergraduate design programme for admission through UCEED for the 2025-2026 academic year. Like its counterpart in New Delhi, the university will not be part of the IIT Bombay-led Joint Admission Process.
UCEED Participating Institutes 2025
There are SIX participating institutes of UCEED 2025. IIT Roorkee was newly added in the previous edition of the exam. The participating institutes offer B.Des courses and have an intake of 225 seats. Admission to the course will be strictly based on UCEED 2025 merit ranks.

UCEED Result 2025
UCEED, which stands for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design, is a national-level entrance test conducted by IIT Bombay. It assesses candidates’ design aptitude, creativity, and visual-spatial skills and is a key step for admission into top Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs across India.
IIT Bombay will declare the results for the UCEED 2025 exam on March 7, 2025. The result will be announced for candidates who took the exam held on January 19, 2025. The scorecard for UCEED 2025 will be available for download from March 10 to June 11, 2025. The scorecard will contain the Part A and category-wise qualifying marks. Candidates will be issued common merit ranks (All India Rank), Part A marks, and UCEED 2025 scores.
