All shortlisted candidates will get a UCEED rank. All shortlisted candidates are considered as qualified candidates in UCEED 2026.  Rank list will be prepared based on the total marks (Part-A marks and Part-B marks combined) in UCEED 2026.

The expected cutoff for different categories are as follows.

UCEED part A will be of 200 marks.

UCEED 2026 Counselling will have five rounds this year. The seat allotment round 1 will start on April 21, 2026.

The detailed eligibility criteria for the UCEED 2026 exam are given below.

Age limit - The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2001, if belonging to the Open, EWS, or OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 1995, if belonging to the SC, ST, or PwD category. 

Number of attempts - A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years. UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same academic year. 

Qualifying examination - A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2025 OR 2026 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2026. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible. Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination (Class XII) in 2023 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in UCEED 2026.

Rank list will be prepared based on the total marks (Part-A marks and Part-B marks combined) in UCEED 2026.

All the candidates who appeared in UCEED 2026 can download their Score Card from March 10, 2026 to July 31, 2026 from the official UCEED 2026 website.

Application to BDes Programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur (Participating Institutes) will begin from March 14, 2026 (Saturday), 10:00 Hrs. The application portal will be closed on April 10, 2026 (Friday), 17:30 Hrs.

The answer key for UCEED 2026 is not active yet. It will be active soon.

The BDes admission application counselling processing fee for applicants of all categories and genders is ₹ 4,000/- (Rupees Four Thousand only). This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

There are 6 IITs participating in UCEED Joint Counselling 2026.

UCI Committee takes the final decision regarding the UCEED 2026 answer keys after considering all the comments from the candidates and the paper-setting team. This decision is final and will be binding on all the candidates.

Request for change of category after 5:00 pm (IST) on 28 January 2026 will not be accepted by IIT UCEED.

IIT UCEED Answer Key PDF will be available at uceed.iitb.ac.in. No login ID and Password is required to download the Answer Key PDF for UCEED.

The cutoff for UCEED 2026 will be out soon for Part A. Canddiates can check the cutoff on the website of UCEED.

UCEED Final Answer Key 2026 will come out today, January 28, 2026, at 05:00 PM. You don’t need any login or password to download it. The UCEED 2026 Final Answer Key is made after checking all student responses from the draft version. It’s the last and correct version before the UCEED 2026 Result. After that, IIT Bombay will release the UCEED 2026 Cutoff on February 5, 2026, and the UCEED 2026 Result on March 4, 2026.

UCEED 2026 Final answer key will be available as a PDF file. It will show the correct answers for all questions in Part A. No answer will be out for UCEED Part B.

The UCEED 2026 results will be based on this final answer key. No more objections will be accepted after it is published.

The Final Answer Key for UCEED 2026 will be out today, at 5 PM. Candidates can download the Final Answer Key PDF without any credentials.

UCEED part A will be of 200 marks.

There were two questions in UCEED part B. It was of 1 hours and there was no negative marking.

The UCEED 2026 exam was of 300 marks. Candidates had to attend both parts as both parts are compulsory.

The following is the marking scheme:

• Full Marks: + 4 If only (all) the correct option(s) is(are) chosen and NONE of the incorrect options are chosen.
• Partial Marks: + 3 If all four options are correct but ONLY three options are chosen and NONE of the incorrect options are chosen.
• Partial Marks: + 2 If three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen, both of which are correct, and NONE of the incorrect options are chosen.
• Partial Marks: + 1 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen and it is a correct option and NONE of the incorrect options are chosen.
• Zero Marks: 0 If none of the options is chosen (i.e., the question is unanswered).
• Negative Marks: -1 In all other cases.

UCEED 2026 cut-off will be available for all candidates who have appeared in the national-level design entrance exam. IIT Bombay will release the cut-off in the form of mean and standard deviations. The UCEED 2025 Part-A has a mean score of 61.50 and a standard deviation of 25.69.

The responses of the candidates for Part-A of UCEED 2026 will be available for download until the declaration of the UCEED 2026 result. Downloading of Part-A responses will not be available once the UCEED results are declared.

Only UCEED 2026 qualified students can apply for admission to the BDes programme at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur for the academic year 2026-2027. The application portal will be active from March 14, 2026 (Saturday), 10:00 Hrs, till April 10, 2026 (Friday), 17:30 Hrs.

UCEED part A will be of 200 marks.

UCEED 2026 Counselling will have five seat allotment rounds. IIT Bombay will process the common application form and conduct the joint seat allocation process for UCEED B.Des 2026.

All candidates who will pay the Seat Acceptance Fee in rounds I and II, can withdraw till the round-II withdrawal end date for claiming the refund. Withdrawals can be done only during the prescribed withdrawal schedules. The refund will be ₹ 55,000/- (Rupees Fifty-Five Thousand only) for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates, and ₹ 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) for SC/ST/PwD candidates, after deducting the seat cancellation and processing charges of ₹ 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only).

Last date for uploading comments (if any) on the Draft Answer Key in the candidate’s portal was January 22, 2026. Now this window is closed.

MCQ (Multiple Choice Question): 28 questions (3 marks each for the correct answer; 0.71 negative marks for incorrect answers). Each MCQ will have four choices, out of which only one is the correct answer.

The Final Answer Key for UCEED Part B will not be released. Final Answer Key will be out only for Part A.
