What to Do After NIFT 2026 Provisional Answer Key: Next Steps & Result Expectations

Answer Key for NIFT 2026 GAT has been released by NTA. Candidates are now caluculating theier scores using the marking scheme and the response sheet. Check out what to do after the release of the NIFT Provisional Answer Key.

NIFT Provisional Answer Key

NTA has released the NIFT Provisional Answer Key today, February 17, 2026, for NIFT UG and PG programmes, allowing candidates to review their answers using the Response Sheet and estimate their scores. The NIFT Provisional Answer Key is released on the website of NTA NIFT. Application ID and Password are required to download the NIFT Provisional Answer Key. 

What to Do After NIFT 2026 Provisional Answer Key: Raise Objections if any.

• Go to the NTA NIFT website
• Log in with your Application Number, Password and enter the Security Pin and click on the Login Button.
• Click the View/Challenge Answer Key button.
• The Option(s) next to the Question ID under the column ‘Correct Option(s)’ stand for the most appropriate Answer Key to be used by NTA.
•  If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Options given in the next five columns by clicking the check box
•  You may want to upload supporting documents, in which you can select ‘Choose File’ and upload (all documents are to be put in a single pdf file).
• After clicking on your desired Option(s) ID for Challenge, scroll down and click on ‘Submit and Review Claims’ and move to the next screen. You must make sure to select all the required options(s) before moving further.
• You will see a display of all the Question ID and Option(s) you have challenged. You may still modify your selection by clicking on ‘Modify Claim’. Once you have selected all the Option(s) ID for Challenge, you can click on ‘Save Claim and Pay Fee’.
• Click on ‘Save Claim and Pay Fee’ to select payment options. No modification will be allowed after payment.

NTA NIFT 2026 Result Expectations

After the closing of the NIFT Provisional Answer Key, NTA will prepare NIFT Final Answer Key based on the objections raised. The changes in the provisional answer key will be made if NTA NIFT finds your challenge justified. 

Once the Final Answer Key is released by NTA, NTA will release the results for NIFT Stage 1. The result will include the marks of NIFT GAT and CAT. The result is expected to be out in the third week of April 2026.
