AICTE extends deadline for PG scholarship scheme

AICTE PG scholarship: The last date to submit online applications has been extended till December 31, 2022.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has extended the deadline for postgraduate (PG) scholarship programme till December 31, 2022. Those interested can apply at pgscholarship.aicte-india.org. 

The last date for student verification by respective institutions, including re-submitted defective applications at AICTE web portal, is January 15, 2023. 

The scholarship amount under the scheme, which is for 24 months or for the duration of the course, is INR 12,400 per month. The AICTE notice read, "The students who are eligible and are admitted to the AICTE approved institutions and AICTE approved courses, as per scheme guidelines, may submit their application in the portal."

The notice further read, “The students are advised to submit their online applications well in time so that their institutions are able to verify applications within the prescribed timelines. Applications received after the last date shall not be entertained.” 

“The eligible institutions are also advised to verify applications of their students immediately after receiving the applications on the online portal,” the notice added. 

The ACITE scholarship will be granted monthly on the basis of academic performance and adherence to institution regulations. Under the scheme, the students are required to take 8 to 10 hours of classes per week of work related to teaching and research activities as assigned to them by the institute.
