AKTU to soon roll out scholarship scheme for MTech, PhD students
Scholarships will provide both financial and research support to around 2,000 students studying in the government and private colleges affiliated to AKTU.
Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, Vice-Chancellor Pradeep Kumar Mishra held a meeting with directors of all state and constituent institutions in hybrid mode wherein the decision regarding starting of a scholarship scheme for MTech and doctoral students of government and private colleges affiliated to the university was taken.
Scholarships will provide both financial and research support to around 2,000 students studying in the government and private colleges affiliated to the university. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the issues hindering the progress of these colleges.
He said a common online platform would soon be developed by the university for state and constituent institutions. βEmphasis will be laid on entrepreneurship development. Work will be done in all institutions in a planned manner to develop an ecosystem for entrepreneurship development,β Mishra said. He said initiatives would be taken for agro-incubation to promote rural and agricultural entrepreneurship.
βThe university will conduct personality development programmes for soft skills and personality development of the students of government and constituent institutes,β he said. Besides, internal relations of the industry-institute will be improved for the upgrade of knowledge of the students and the faculty.
Mishra was recently appointed the new Vice-Chancellor of AKTU. He replaced Vineet Kansal who was given the additional charge of the post in August 2021.
