AKTU, UP government announces 5 Districts ODOP Hackathon; Apply by July 25

The districts participating in the ‘5 Districts ODOP Hackathon’ are Prayagraj, Kanpur, Mathura, Varanasi and Gorakhpur.

5 Districts ODOP Hackathon

5 Districts ODOP Hackathon: The innovation hub of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh in association with UP Government’s One District-One Product Programme (ODOP), MSME brings 5 District Hackathon. The districts participating in the ‘5 Districts ODOP Hackathon’ are Prayagraj, Kanpur, Mathura, Varanasi and Gorakhpur. Interested candidates must note that the application process has begun on June 25, 2022, and the last date to apply for ‘5 Districts ODOP Hackathon’ is July 25, 2022.

The UP Government’s One District-One Product Programme aims to encourage such indigenous and specialized products and crafts in UP that are found nowhere else, reads the official statement released by the institute.

Innovation Hub, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and ODOP Cell, MSME brings the following 5 districts hackathon:

(1) PRAYAGRAJ: Food Processing (Millet product) and Moonj Products

(2) KANPUR: Leather Products; Plastic Products; Hosiery & Textile and Alumni Utensils

(3) MATHURA: Thakurji's Dress, Decoration and Kanthi Mala

(4) VARANASI: Silk Products; Gulabi Meenakari and Wooden Lacquerware & Toys

(5) GORAKHPUR: Readymade Garments and Pottery (Terracotta)

This hackathon is problem statement based. Interested and eligible candidates are invited with innovative and feasible solutions for the problems in the above-mentioned districts and products.

Candidates willing to participate in the 5 Districts ODOP Hackathon must remember the following date:

Application Start: June 25, 2022

Last Date to Apply: July 25, 2022

Round-1 Result Announcement: August 3, 2022

Final Offline Presentation: August 9, 2022

Final Round Result: August 9, 2022
