BITSAT rises in popularity among aspirants while major exams take a dip: Shiksha Engineering Outlook Report 2024

Shiksha Engineering Outlook Report 2024 has stated that BITSAT has seen a good increase in popularity among engineering aspirants. Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITSAT) has been steadily gaining momentum among students as their choice of entrance examination for BTech admissions. As per the Shiksha Engineering Outlook Report 2024, the popularity of BITSAT has grown by 6% as compared to the academic year of 2022. This growth can be attributed to the factor of BITSAT being held in two sessions every academic year. BITSAT has emerged as the second most popular exam among Engineering aspirants after JEE Main.

The report also states that more students in western and central areas prefer BITSAT as their choice of exam for BTech admissions.

Major BTech entrance exams face a dip in popularity?

While BITSAT has risen in popularity, the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) and Manipal Entrance Test (MET) have witnessed a significant decline of nearly 50% as compared to the previous year. The decline in popularity is especially prominent among students in Central India.

Is the BITSAT 2024 application form available?

BITS Pilani has released the BITSAT 2024 application form online at bitsadmission.com. Candidates can now fill out and submit the BITSAT application form 2024 for both sessions until April 11, 2024. While filling out the BITS 2024 application form, the candidates will have to provide their personal, academic and contact details. The required scanned documents have to be uploaded and the candidates will have to pay the required fee.

VITEEE and MET 2024 exam dates have been announced. The authorities will conduct VITEEE 2024 from April 19 to 30, 2024 as a computer-based test. MET 2024 will be held from April 16 to 17, 2024 (first attempt) and May 18 to 19, 2024 (second attempt).
