BTech, BArch admissions open for other state students at Anna University

Anna University, Chennai, has invited applications from other state students for admission to BE/BTech/BArch courses. Candidates can submit applications online at https://admissions.annauniv.edu/cfa/ by September 15, 2021. 

While 50 seats (including one seat for Kashmiri migrant) have been reserved for BE/BTech (four-year) degree programmes in the university departments of Anna University, Chennai, two seats have been reserved for BArch (five-year) degree programme. 

Eligibility criteria for BE/BTech courses 

• The applicant should be a citizen of India but not a native of Tamil Nadu. A certificate of permanent residence must be uploaded. 
• To become eligible for BE/BTech courses, the applicant should have passed HSC (Academic) or other equivalent qualification with relevant subjects approved by the Higher Secondary Board of Tamil Nadu, with a minimum average of 45 per cent marks in mathematics, physics and chemistry put together (40 per cent for SC/ST). 

Ranking is based on the academic marks obtained in prescribed subjects in the qualifying exam reduced to 200 considering marks (mathematics 100, physics + chemistry – 100). An overall merit list will be prepared based on the total marks of 200. 

Eligibility criteria for BArch course 

• The applicant should have passed HSC (Academic)/equivalent with physics, chemistry and mathematics or he/she should have 10+3 years diploma (any stream) examination recognised by central/state governments with mathematics as compulsory subject. 
• International baccalaureate diploma candidates who have passed international baccalaureate diploma after 10 years of schooling, with mathematics as a compulsory subject are also eligible.  
• The applicant who has qualified the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), with pass percentage in 10+2 scheme of examination with PCM or 10+3 diploma with mathematics shall be eligible for admission to BArch course.
