COMEDK UGET 2027: Seven question paper sets planned

According to the proposal, the Consortium plans to increase the number of question paper sets from four to seven in its next examination cycle. The question papers will be encrypted and the exam centres will receive the password only 20 minutes before the test begins.Β Currently, COMEDK uses four question paper sets and the passwords are shared with the centres around an hour before the examination.

COMEDK secretary Dr S Kumar said the Consortium is developing a new examination system with additional security measures. The three cybersecurity experts are expected to examine potential loopholes and recommend measures to prevent malpractice. The final security arrangements will depend on the system adopted for the examination.

The decision follows alleged malpractice at three COMEDK UGET 2026 examination centres in Jamshedpur. COMEDK authorities had barred 36 students from participating in counselling over suspected malpractice.

The Consortium has said it aims to make the examination system more secure and prevent malpractice. However, the effectiveness of the proposed measures will depend on their implementation.
