CSAB Counselling 2025 for NIT+, IIIT Vacant Seats Opens July 30 – Eligibility Details Inside

The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will commence the CSAB 2025 special rounds registration on July 30 at 10 AM. Only those who satisfy all the eligibility conditions will be considered for the CSAB special round allotment. Check the eligibility and CSAB 2025 counselling schedule for the special round here.

CSAB Counselling 2025 Starts July 30 – Eligibility Details, Schedule Here

The Central Seat Allocation Board will begin the CSAB 2025 counselling for NIT+ and IIIT vacant seats on July 30. NIT+ system includes NITs, IIEST, IIITs, SPAs, and Other-GFTIs. Since the JoSAA counselling has concluded, the authority will hold the CSAB special round for the remaining vacant seats in the NIT+ System. There will be 3 rounds of the CSAB-special rounds for which candidates have to make a fresh registration. The CSAB 2025 special round counselling link will be activated on the website, csab.nic.in. Interested applicants must complete the CSAB counselling registration and choice filling by August 3 (5 PM).

To apply for the CSAB Special Rounds, a student must fulfil all the eligibility criteria. All candidates who were eligible in JoSAA for NIT+ system as per JEE Main 2025 ranks are eligible to participate in CSAB-Special 2025 rounds.

CSAB 2025 Special Round Eligibility Criteria

The following types of candidates are eligible for the CSAB counselling:

• Candidates who did not register in JoSAA 2025 rounds but are eligible as per the eligibility criteria.
• Candidates who have participated in JoSAA 2025 but have not been allotted any seat.
• Candidates who have participated in JoSAA 2025 and have been allotted seats but have cancelled due to non-payment of the Seat Acceptance Fee.
• Candidates who have exercised the exit option during JoSAA 2025.
• Candidates who have participated in JoSAA 2025 and have been allotted seats in any IIT and later (a) their seats have been cancelled after document verification or they have validly withdrawn from their allotted seats, or they have taken admission therein. 
• Candidates who have participated in JoSAA 2025 and have been allotted seats in the NIT+ System and have already secured admission at the allotted institute by paying the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) and Partial Admission Fee (PAF).
• Candidates who have participated in JoSAA 2025 and have been allotted seats in the NIT+ System, and later they have validly withdrawn from their allotted seats.
• Candidates who have participated in JoSAA 2025 and have been allotted seats in the NIT+ System, but later their seats have been cancelled after document verification and have not been allotted any seat in any of the subsequent JoSAA 2025 rounds (with their updated credentials provided they fulfil the eligibility).
• Candidates who have participated in JoSAA 2025 and have been allotted seats in the NIT+ System and have paid the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) and successfully completed document verification, but their seats have been cancelled due to non-payment of the Partial Admission Fee.

The CSAB authority will publish the vacancies of the JoSAA counselling on July 30. Based on the choices filled, the mock seat allotment will be displayed on August 3. Following this, students can continue to fill their choices and lock them by August 7. The round 1 CSAB seat allotment 2025 will be displayed on August 9.
