CUIET invites applications for admission to BTech courses under NRI quota

Candidates need not sit for any entrance exam. They can apply by September 27, 2021. 

The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), University of Calicut, also known as CUIET, has invited applications for admission to BTech courses under NRI quota for the 2021-22 academic year. 

The seats under NRI quota will be filled up from the rank list prepared on the basis of preference of application in respective branches such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Printing Technology and on the basis of the marks obtained in physics, mathematics and chemistry/computer science /biology and biotechnology in the higher secondary examination. 

Eligibility criteria 

• Candidates who have passed HSE, Kerala, or examinations recognised as equivalent thereto, with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects and chemistry as one of the optional subjects with at least 45 per cent marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission. 
• In case, the candidate has not studied chemistry/computer science/biotechnology, the marks obtained in biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective higher secondary board shall be considered for academic eligibility. 
• No entrance test is required for getting admission to BTech course under NRI quota 
• Candidates should be a child/ward/dependent of an NRI and should enclose a declaration obtained from the NRI who sponsor the applicant.

Fee structure is as follows under NRI quota  

Tuition fee Rs 1,00,000 per year  

Refundable deposit Rs 1,25,000 (One time payment, refundable after four years) 

Caution deposit Rs 5,000 (One time payment, refundable after four years 

Miscellanious fee Rs 5,530
