KEA extends the caution deposit and the option entry date for DCET round 3 counselling 2025

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the DCET round 3 counselling. Candidates must complete the caution fee deposit for the option entry. The last date for the DCET caution fee deposit has been extended to August 18 by 8 PM. After the deposit is made, students can complete the option entry by midnight of the same day, i.e, August 18. 

The caution deposit is Rs 40,000 for general candidates, while it is Rs 10,000 for SC/ST candidates. The DCET seat allotment will be done based on the candidateโ€™s preferences, merit in the exam, and availability of seats. Students must follow these steps to complete the DCET 2025 option entry:

  • Visit the website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/dcet2025
  • Click on the DCET round 3 option entry link
  • Log in using your CET number and password
  • Once logged in, fill in your choices in the order of preference
  • Save the choices

Candidates must carefully prioritise their college and course preferences while exercising option entry. Once the allotment is done, students have to report to the allotted institute for admission. Failure to report for admission within the given timeline will lead to forfeiture of the caution deposit along with a penalty as per KEA rules. Moreover, cancellation of seats is not permitted in this final stage of counselling.
